As the demand for pressure boosting continues to rise so has the engineered sophistication of the pump solutions being supplied to meet the varied requirements for these units.

Booster Sets

Xylem Booster Sets are engineered for automatic, high efficiency water boosting in both residential and commercial applications. A typical model (like the Lowara GHV series) uses 1 4 vertical multistage pumps each driven by variable frequency drives (e.g. Hydrovar), coupled with pressure transducers and a control panel all mounted on a common frame for ease of installation. The sets provide strong performance: delivery rates up to ~640 m³/h, heads up to ~160 m, power ratings per pump up to ~22 kW, and operation for temperatures from 0 °C to ~80 °C. These systems also support remote monitoring/communication (Modbus, BACnet), are certified for potable water where needed, and are designed to save energy via intelligent control.

Grundfos Booster Sets include models like the CMBE range and “Max E Boost”. They often feature stainless steel multistage pumps, built in variable speed control to maintain constant pressure, dry run protection, pressure sensors and gauges, pressure vessels, and anti vibration mounts. These are compact units, factory assembled to reduce on site installation time. Noise reduction is also a key design point, making them suitable for domestic/light commercial use.
